Grace gives Akua (God) all the praise and glory for His learning and wisdom. "Never Give Up"
I sincerely believe the people of the Hawaiian Islands have a beautiful and unique culture that promotes Aloha (love) respect and harmony. Through photos, arts and crafts of Hawai'i we are able to maintain social and MANA (spiritual) ties to each other and our island homelands and aspects of their cultural heritage.

5/25/07 : Mythos "Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things, which escape those who dream only by night." ~ Edgar Allan Poe.....My intent is to capture a world that's been subverted by our intellect. As children we are acutely aware of the moments that shape our understanding only to be polluted by culture and society as we age. This extreme attentiveness blends reality and fantasy that, as adults, we tend to only visit in dreams....."Mythos" depicts the beginning steps into seeing beyond the surface, where flashes of stillness, anxiety, wonder and mystery present themselves through familiar and invented allegories. These dreamlike fabrications bestow the dichotomies of good vs. evil, fantasy vs. reality, awake vs. dreaming and the axis that connects them all.

2007 : pinHolga pinHolga: A pinhole camera is a camera without a lens. The light producing the image passes through a small hole.
Thus...I modified the Holga by removing the plastic lens and replacing it with a pinhole.
The imagery is a response to working intuitively. With playfulness and tranquility in balance, as if from the eyes of a child.

Spring 2004 : Arizona and Utah During the spring of 2004, I made a photo trip to Arizona and Utah, specifically to photograph the Wave in northern Arizona. The Wave is a unique geologic formation of petrified sandstone. It is accessible only by hiking in from southern Utah, and a BLM permit is required. It takes 7 months to get the permit, so if you go, plan ahead. While in the area I also visited Arches NP, Zion NP, and other places. view journal

11-1-05 : Autumn in the Hocking Hills of Ohio A sacred place. That is what the Hocking Hills of southeastern Ohio has become for me. I've been visiting and photographing this region for well over 30 years now. I''ve lost count the number of my visits.
Each season offers a unique light to this varied landscape. Sandstone cliffs, dramatic waterfalls, Hemlocks and fern-filled hollows. There is a spirit here that calls me home. The following are images from my annual Fall visits in 2003, 2004 and 2005. Almost always about the third week of October. view journal
